As is tradition, when it gets to the end of the year, I love to look back and reminisce about the year and all I've achieved and gotten to do. More specifically I like to look back at all the concerts and festivals I have been been to. Please enjoy my 2025 concert log xoxo
PSA. this only accounts for bigger concerts/gigs and does not account for the 398309 local gigs i attended throughout the year. if people are interested I can list my fav up and coming aus acts (which are mostly all friends of mine and are incredibly talented)
St. Jerome's Laneway Festival - Feb 15
Even though I feel old when I go to Laneway now, I still persist. I will always get there early and support my friends who are playing in the unearthed slots as well! Fave acts of the day included Djo, Clairo, Remi Wolf and ofc Charli XCX. Brat live was insane and it was worth being at a festival that oversold and was dusty as hell.
Nice Day to go to the Club - Feb 22
Granted this was a local festival, but Regurgitator headlined so I'm counting it. It was like 40 degrees that day and was hot as all hell but it was generally a pretty fun day!
Green Day - Mar 01
This was the first time I've ever seen Green Day and what an HONOUR it was to see both Dookie and American Idiot in full! Paid a pretty penny for these tickets (thanks surge pricing) and the view was honestly, not great, but we still had a great time.
The Kooks - Mar 04
At the beginning of the year I was very trigger happy when it came to buying tickets to shows. I went to this one with my sister and it was lighthearted and fun!
Summersalt Festival - Mar 30
This festival was one of those 'bring the deck chair' festivals, but i feel like with these ones specifically can be hit or miss. I've been to some good ones and I've been to some duds, and it entirely comes down to where the festival was held. This one wasn't the worst but definitely not the best as there's so many trees in the park they chose that half the people in attendance can't even remotely see the stage.
Aside from that, lineup was great, got to see The Waifs, Josh Pyke, John Butler, Missy Higgins, The Whitlams & Fanning Dempsey National Park!
Feeder - Apr 06
I went to this show for two reasons: 1. my close friends band were supporting and 2. I will simply say yes to any 90s alt rock band show I can get my hands on. It was a great time, simply put!
The Offspring - May 04
I saw The Offspring with my mum and safe to say, we both absolutely loved it! Simple Plan were supports and absolutely crushed it and The Offspring played such a fun set that we ended up having a blast! I can't believe I've waited for so long to see them play.
End of Fashion - Aug 23
This was a gig I attended as my band were their support act. We all had the nostalgia from O Yeah! playing throughout our childhoods and featuring in singstar but it was fun to see them play that album in full + they were super super lovely and made time to chat to us before and after the show.
British India - Oct 04
This was another gig attended as we were supporting and I was particularly keen for this one as BI had soundtracked my teen years. They played a sick set and I'm glad I got to be a part of it.
Jebediah - Oct 16
It was a part of their 30th anniversary tour and they were GREAT! The show was sold out and the room was outrageously hot so I stood with friends outside of the room, but enough to see Kevin at least. Set was absolutely solid and it was definitely worth sitting through a 1.5 hr set to see those 5 odd songs I knew but really love.
Ben Lee - Oct 17
Got to see ben lee for his 20th anniversary show for awake is the new sleep! this album was constantly playing in our car for at least 6 months after it was released so it was very special to see the album performed in full!
It was THE most wholesome gig Iāve been to in so so long! Not only was the set itself perfect, but Ben had really interesting and funny stories for literally every song and essentially hosted a masterclass on how to hold a crowd.
Harvest Rock - Oct 25 & 26
Absolutely batshit weekend. We had sun, rain, storms, festival put on pause for 1.5 hours. Highlights were The Strokes, The War on Drugs, The Presets & Folk Bitch Trio. Also walked past Julian Casablancas twice in the artist compound. ALSO so many people came to see US play!

Oasis - Nov 01
This is hands down a core memory for me. The whole time they were playing all I could think of was āI cannot believe this is happening right now.ā They played impeccably and I had the time of my life. Some of the concert etiquette around me was questionable but it didnāt really affect my experience, it was just more an interesting observation about what is seen as normal now lol
Paul Dempsey - Shotgun Karaoke - Nov 15
okay this was insane - just one (tall) man with an acoustic guitar, whipping out the most stunning covers for like an hour and a half. we really got fed too! he covered caroline, STRAIGHT into last goodbye (diabolical work), as well as the chain as a duet with carla geneve, wrecking ball (!!) and boys of summer! this wasn't even all of it, just my highlights. they call paul king of covers for a very good reason.
AC\DC + Amyl & The Sniffers - Nov 30
Interesting one. I love Amyl & The Sniffers and I felt like AC/DC are one of those bands I had to see in my lifetime but my god was it ruined by the crowd. Usually I am not one to let other people ruin my experience but the crowd was exactly what you'd expect an AC/DC crowd to be, and not in a good way. From a mixed reaction to our set (you can read the hate comments online lol), to the absolute piss poor reception of Amyl, this is probably not a concert I would've gone to had I not been playing tbh. That being said though, AC/DC were fantastic and now I can say that I have seen them.
Lady Gaga - Dec 05
Now this absolutely knocked my god damn socks off. I spent most of the time she was onstage with my jaw on the floor as it was not only my first big pop production Iāve ever been to, but it was just absolutely incredible. The setlist was absolutely flawless (although there were some songs I was hoping weād get for the secret songsĀ coughĀ speechless and monsterĀ cough). Words cannot describe how special it was for me to get to see Paparazzi (iykyk), Appaluse and Alejandro.
Iāve been a fan of Lady Gaga since Just Dance blew up (I think I was like 11) and The Fame Monster and I became acutely aware of the fact that she was right there and I was witnessing this all with my own two eyes so I did become quite emotional for at least the first 3 songs and many other moments throughout the night.
All in all, it's been an incredible year for concerts for me and I'm very excited to see what next year has in store! Also, goes without saying, go to local gigs and support smaller, upcoming artists, you won't regret it, and they'll be outrageously grateful!
