Lady Gaga - Mayhem Ball
Now this absolutely knocked my god damn socks off. I travelled to Melbourne (which seems to be the norm for me now) and attended alone but that did not hinder the experience at all for me.
I spent most of the time she was onstage with my jaw on the floor as it was not only my first big pop production I’ve ever been to, but it was just absolutely incredible. The setlist was absolutely flawless (although there were some songs I was hoping we’d get for the secret songs cough speechless and monster cough). Words cannot describe how special it was for me to get to see Paparazzi (iykyk), Appaluse and Alejandro.
I’ve been a fan of Lady Gaga since Just Dance blew up (I think I was like 11) and The Fame Monster and I became acutely aware of the fact that she was right there and I was witnessing this all with my own two eyes so I did become quite emotional for at least the first 3 songs and many other moments throughout the night.
anyway one of the best things I’ve ever seen love u Gaga <3
Hayley Williams - Good Hang episode
idk why this wasn’t someone I was expecting but the reaction I had when I saw the sneak peak that Hayley was going to be on Amy’s show!I love these two so much and could listen to them speak all day.
Vivienne Westwood x Rei Kawakubo exhibition @ NGV
I was outrageously blessed with timing to still be in Melbourne on the opening day of this exhibition and it was AMAZING. I’ve always been a fashion girly (I desperately wanted to be a designer when I was a kid) and what these two designers did for fashion was genuinely so cool. I especially loved seeing all the plaid in Westwood’s designs and the OG punk designs and all the info about her work with Malcolm McLaren and all the lore behind the SEX shop. 10/10 would go again
Jeff Buckley bandsplain episode
BITCH. A 4 hour deep dive on my man Jeffrey Buckley?! Don’t mind if I do. I’ve been learning so much but it’s been so nice to go and revisit his material.
