new season of make some noise - noise boys ep
save me noise boys, noise boys save me. i don't really have the words to describe how much of a comfort the noise boys/MSN in general brings me but this week it really helped with the fomo I had from not getting to see Brennan while he was in aus.
jebediah slightly odway 30th anniversary tour
got to go to see jebediah on thursday night as part of their 30th anniversary tour and they were GREAT! The show was sold out and the room was outrageously hot so I stood with friends outside of the room, but enough to see Kevin at least. Set was absolutely solid and it was definitely worth sitting through a 1.5 hr set to see those 5 odd songs I knew but really love.
ben lee awake is the new sleep 20th anniversary tour
and then friday night i got to see ben lee for his 20th anniversary show for awake is the new sleep! this album was constantly playing in our car for at least 6 months after it was released so it was very special to see the album performed in full!
Okay this was THE most wholesome gig Iβve been to in so so long! Not only was the set itself perfect, but Ben had really interesting and funny stories for literally every song and essentially hosted a masterclass on how to hold a crowd.
60 songs that explain the 90s - rob harvilla
i finally finished my book! It's taken me a while to get through as i've been fairly busy but this was essentially the book form of the podcast i've been listening to for a few years now, and it was the perfect thing to consume in the break between podcast episodes (he's doing a series on the 2000s now and it's absolutely brilliant). I adore the fact that the book still contains Rob's incredibly comforting sense of humour, it was such a great read!

the great outdoors
we had some warm weather this week (finally), so i was able to go out a couple days after work to do some exercise! one day i tried a new walking route and stumbled across a school sports field with the most PRISTINE vibes, and then the next day went to the new aquatic and recreation centre near my work for a swim (genuinely one of my favourite forms of exercise).
bandsplain - alanis morissette episode
here i was thinking we were in our glam metal era when all of a sudden yasi dropped an alanis ep. I love alanis so I was stoked about this! it was lowkey a heartbreaking ep, learning about the treatment she endured as a young teen at the hands of industry men.
